Sylum's Saga
© Jamie Chapman
The Sylum's Saga series follows the adventures of a warrior priest who commands the elements and has an unusual ability to connect with and heal human souls. Book One: The Sword of Dark Souls Sylum, high priest of the silver temple, has a preordained destiny imposed by "The One". He is to gather the souls of six demons and return them to the realm from which they escaped. A powerful, dark sword, The Korataiso, is to be used on his mission, but he can not wield it. A seventh demon, Lyrolith, has just escaped from the realm to be reunited with his human soul mate, and it is prophesied that he can wield the sword. Sylum enlists his help (and the aid of Lyrolith's soul mate, Abigail) and they embark on an exciting and perilous journey to return the demon souls to the realm. But as he becomes friends with the seventh Demon, will the One respond to Sylum's appeal for Lyrolith to remain on Earth, or will he have to say good-bye? Book Two: The Fiend Within The destruction of the Korataiso, the sword of dark souls, has released a plague of 1000 fiend souls upon the Earth. Sylum and an eclectic band of warriors must protect the Earth from entities of pure evil, and save a village from destruction. Book Three: The Stone of Truth As the remaining fiends become larger and more aggressive, Sylum and his mentor Tagnum must find a way to protect the temple from constant assault. They seek the final barrier stone, The Stone of Truth, which will protect the temple, but will also require Sylum to leave the only home his has ever known. Book Four: The Key to Pandemonium The last of the fiends have formed a fierce some, seemingly unbeatable alliance. A young woman, Salone, and a sinister relic, The Key to Pandemonium, will be required to free the Earth from it's plague of demons once and for all. She must find the courage to leave Sylum behind to find herself and make her own place in the world. Book Five: The Ship of Destiny Heartbroken, Sylum leaves his priests behind, is captured by slave traders and taken to a kingdom known for its cruelty and lack of human rights. He becomes tutor to the royal princess who possesses the reincarnated soul of a friend from his past. Her perceptions change, as does the kingdom she will one day rule. Book Six: Sylum's Squire While Sylum was away, a tyrannical kingdom spreads its influence far and wide -- destroying villages and taking prisoners. Posing as mercenaries, Sylum and a band of his warrior priest infiltrate the kingdom and take it down from the inside. Sylum never expected to fall in love here of all places, and certainly not with the general's squire. ....and many more.... |
